Hog’s is an authentic Kentucky Straight Bourbon Whiskey that takes its classic texture and sweet taste from the freshwater springs that have filtered through the limestone shelf that runs through the Southern States of America.

The deep red colour comes from the charred barrels in which it has aged. This process was introduced in the early 1800’s as a means of disinfecting the barrels to ensure no contamination of the spirit. Once used the barrels are never reused by Law for the maturation of Bourbon.

Nose opens with loads of fruit followed by great dollops of honey and hints of liquorice and clove. In the mouth orange and corn show along with vanilla and dried fruit. Big oaky middle with lots of sweet characters. Somewhat brisk in the mouth yet has pleasing overall character.
